MARIAM IZMAYLOVA

 

Mariam fell in love with ballroom dance at the age of 5 when her parents took her to watch her very first competition. Three years later, she was traveling around her home country of Russia, participating in competitions and shows. By age 18, Mariam decided that she could not imagine her life without dance, so she turned it into her career. One year later, she moved to the US to pursue an incredible opportunity as a professional dancer. She became a top dancer in the country by age 20.  Mariam loves introducing people to dance teaching them to use the art to express themselves. She truly believes that ballroom dancing helps people to bring out the best in themselves. "It shapes you physically and mentally. It gives you confidence and always keeps you connected to the arts." Mariam believes wholeheartedly in Friedrich Nietzsche’s legendary quote, “We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”
